No-Cost Extension Request Template

Published: Last updated: Reviewed:

TLDR

A no-cost extension request must explain why the work is not complete, what remains to be done, that sufficient funds exist to support the extension, and why the proposed extension period is sufficient to complete the remaining objectives. Vague justifications and insufficient lead time are the most common reasons NCE requests are denied.
